Creepy music:Hello Zepp

Saw
Year:2004
Film: Saw: Death is a shortcut
Music: Hello Zepp
Composer: Charlie Clouser

For the topic creepy music, I feel it is a little bit hard to choose a song to analysis. The main reason is that I watch horror film occasionally. Anyway, I reckon the song, which is called “Hello Zepp”, is a successful creepy music.

“Hello Zepp” is the original name of a piece of incidental music that was composed by Charlie Clouser for the first installment in the Saw. The piece’s appearance in the frist film was timed to bring a dramatic tone to the end of the film, in which the primary antagonist, the Jigsaw Killer. As the series continues, the piece is reused in all the films, often being renamed and remixed to accommodate the changing situations and characters in each film.

The Powerful orchestral music simply works very well because it conveys emotions and set a scary mood. The music is fast and finger-popping; It sounds like the murder in the film is chasing you. In the climax of the music, I even feel a lit bit hart to breath. When I listen to the music, I have a feeling that my heartbeat move faster as the rhythm of music be stronger and stronger. In the climax of the music, I even feel a lit bit hart to breath. It draws me into the scene, to make it part of the action and put it in the situation of victim, and it is really cool.
